What it is like to blink out of existence, and then be reconstituted again? For an outsider, there may be many ways to describe it: absolute darkness, time stopping, complete sensory depravation, or a loss of self. But, to the individual experiencing such a thing, it may be compared to waking up from anesthesia or coming out of a drunken stupor. What would not be expected would be a flood of all sensations, including pain, blinding light, extreme heat and cold – a number of sensations that defy any meaningful expressions.

This is what the being was experiencing. The person formally known as Trevor was now almost completely conscious, but a flood of thing were rebounding into him like the recoil from a cannon. A millennia of time seems to past in just a few seconds. Trevor now had obtained the ability to feel and somewhat process all the things that had happened to him. In addition, a tremendous amount of other information was now being imprinted into him, mainly hundreds of lifetimes of information, feelings, and experiences. A normal person would probably have gone insane after a few milliseconds of this, but, because of the “enhancements” he had received, the infusion did not break him. Still, his mind was still trying to process and comprehend all of that, and that came with a lot of pain and discomfort by itself, in addition to the flow of the experiences. Again, it was only do to him now having a mind and soul that had been expanded in capacity and comprehension by almost a hundred times that he was able to endure.

After a while, the situation somewhat stabilized. He had unconsciously spat out an expletive during the beginning, but was now breathing hard and rubbing his head.

“$hit! Dammit!”

The memories had now been organized enough that the person called Trevor was now looking at the current moment and trying to comprehend what happened. Interestingly, answers starting popping into his head as he asked himself questions.

“What is going on?”

“Reincarnated via pre-determined means? Technology? No, not really? Magic?”

“Where am I?”

“Temple of Creation?”

“This is my accumulated creation energy I have collected over the millennia?”

“This is my temple?”

“Wait, who am I?”

For that question, no immediate answer popped into his head. The name “Trevor” eventually surfaced after a while.

“Trevor? Yes, Trevor. Ok, I am Trevor!”

“Now, calm down. Focus. Figure out what is going on”

With a sense of self, and a name, Trevor started organizing his thoughts.
